a friend of mine has a 95 tsi (talon awd turbo). There are alot of good and bad things about them. The bad is pretty much the fact that they break every other week. The good is that they are very very cheap. You could probably reach the 300 hp mark with a new turbo injectors and afc. IMO i would put out the extra cash and get the awd, even though it may cuase more problems, launching a 400 hp car with no traction problems is awsome.

i have 2 freinds with the spec V and a tsi awd. another friend has a gsx. The dsm's do have their fair share or problems, but they take very little money to go fast. The kid with the talon had a gst for about 3 months, and said he needed the awd, so he sold it and got the awd talon. The spec-v is a fun car to drive. my friend put in some cams, IHE, and maybe a pulley or soemthing, and he ran a 14.7 i think. Hes waiting for a reliable turbo kit to come out( ) but he likes it.
