Re: ebay pistons/rods
I bought NRP high compression piston, but didnt tried yet because I change my plan. For me only by looking it doesnt look strong. Maybe the same quality as stock one. Dunno for the rod sorry. Funny because I was looking on rod and piston right now on ebay lol But eagle rod and JE piston kit. I think you get what you pay for sadly

Re: ebay pistons/rods
They are made like stock cast pistons. The rods won't work with those pistons because the rods are for floating pins. Now those rods would work with a nice set of new Ross Racing B series forged pistons with rings for $380........which I happen to have

If you plan on just using them as stock replacement why not just get your stock rods shotpeened and reuse them with those pistons and some ARP rod studs?

Re: ebay pistons/rods
I had a friend who used those pistons on a built d15 project. On 22 pounds he made 304 whp. Everything else failed, but not the pistons. But i don't know if that was just a stroke up luck or not, so the risk is still there.
