I liked the feel of the few I tried out though. They don't feel too big to carry to me, but maybe its just a personal preference. Not looking for anything flashy, just something that can get the job done, or at least end a confrontation before it starts just by its presence. No chrome, no flashy .50 cal Desert Eagle, just something with decent stopping power that I can carry on my hip underneath a jacket or large shirt.

i have a friend that has one as his daily carry and has no problem. i guess its all in personal preferance because i woul think it would be too big also. i wouldn't go with anything smaller then a 9mm, there are alot of nice guns for a decent price and if the compact versions feel good to you then get one of those. i might be picking up a compact version of my glock if i can get then extended clip with the place for my pinky to rest.

i NEVER once said guns should be banned ??? you guys want all restrictions removed from guns. to me that is like saying remove all requirements to drive a car. think about how dangerous the roads would be if no one needed a permit, 5hour, and drivers test. geez i'd have to go buy a tank just to feel safe. there's already enough terrible drivers and we HAVE requirements. i feel the same is true for gun ownership. fine if you want to own a gun you BETTER know everything inside and out. they should be required to sit and take a test, written and applied(in case you guys aren't sure of applied means in this context; i mean actually shoot the thing and get a test score). If you fail the tests, well too bad, your an unfit gun owner. just like if you fail your drivers test your unfit to drive an automobile. you can come back another time and try again.

There is a test. If you weren't afraid of guns you would know this. Even after the test, it won't show any results of what you'd do in an emergency, with nerves going and all that, only that you can shoot a target in an air conditioned range.

This was one of the topics at ccw class. Much like yourself, our government officials are afraid of guns, and make laws, classes, requirements, and course outline based on fears of something they don't have a clue about. you asked "does a test weed out bad drivers?" haha yes. that is EXACTLY what it does. if you are NOT a good driver, you do NOT get your license. ny state requires an up to date 5hour course (a class that yes, is actually 5 hours long) before you can get your test. if you don't pass your test within an hour of taking the course you have to retake it. did i learn valuable information in that course? YES. do i know the rules of the road? YES.

i do actually know a small handful of people who didn't pass their test the first time around. they WERE terrible drivers. and before you go shouting "they were all liberal faggots" no they weren't. actually they were republicans lol. but you are right. the tests don't weed out many people. infact the tests are NOT stringent enough. I would even go as far as saying every X number of years (10, 20 i don't know) you have to take a "refresher" test. just a written test that proves you still know the rules of the road.
Your statements confuse me. you are aware that there are terrible drivers out there. And your solution is to just hand out licenses to everyone without trying to educate them? How could that possibly make the roads any safer? Atleast with a permit, 5hour and test you have to learn the rules of the road atleast once damn.

stealthmode. i don't want to make you do with anything. i simply feel that giving out guns like candy would lead to bad bad repercussions. i think there needs to be intelligent control over gun ownership. so that ATLEAST the legal gun carrying folk out there have all been tested and have proven their knowledge of how to properly handle and secure a weapon. that way we can minimize accidental shootings from legal gun owners. I don't claim that this will affect illegal gun users. obviously if someone wants something bad enough they will get it but atleast we can help educate the legal gun owners. we got onto some of those deviations because of the o-so-intelligent random-strike's comments about how europe is a failing area lol

1. nothing will not stop anyone from using a firearm in anyway they want.
2. give an inch, and they'll take a mile. now its a 5 hour class to buy a pistol, next its registration, then its confiscation
3. all studies done on conclead carry have shown a drop in random violence, no hollywood "wild west" shootouts
4. "gun free" washington d.c. has the highest gun crime rate in the united states.
