Re: dumbassssssesssssssssss

The kids who shoot people are the kids who's parents let them point thier toy guns at thier friends and don't tell them about they're guns, leaving them to think all guns are fun and games. My son won't point a water gun at his friends on the hottest Summer day without asking me.
While the gun is all broken down, I clean it in front of him and explain the dangers. After I put it back together, I told him the only time I will allow you to touch it is now, before I put it away. He said he didn't want to.

Curiousity gone.

I also got him an airsoft handgun that looks just like mine. We take it into fields and treat the whole thing as if the gun were a real one. It makes him feel grown up, and gives me the oppertunity to teach him about it. He hides it from his 1 yr old brother just as I hide mine from him. It's about teaching them, and taking the curiousity out of it.

those kids are of age to understand the dangers. you can't be like here is a hot stove, see its hot. now you know never to touch it again. a kid YOUNGER than 7 isn't going to comprehend "look billy if you point htis it could kill someone and he'll be gone forever"..

i don't care how redneck you are and how young you start teaching your mullet haird kid how to shoot a gun, accidents happen. if you guys love guns so much i hope you have a house full of them. just be sure to lock them all up so your 3 year old doesn't accidentally squeeze the trigger.

thats the reason i can't get a compact model of any gun.
After i saw that dudes website on the turture test for the glock i want one. hte sub compact glock models have a plus one extension for the clip. i think its a 17 round clip and it ends up adding a pinky rest to the grip. glock 26 with a 357 barrel is hot ----.

My niece is 3 1/2 and I saw her at my Dad's at Christmas time, we told her not to touch the wood stove because it would burn her. Bam done, never touched it. Apparently the children you have been around are dumber than our redneck mullet headed ones.

Don't bother with the 9mm for protection, it is much cheeper to target shoot with however.

If you're a good parent you won't have a problem with your children being around guns. You can keep your child blind folded it's entire life and the one day it "accidentally" gets ahold of a gun OUTSIDE of your home he won't know WTF to do and WTF not to do so he will shoot his worthless ------- canadian brains out. Meanwhile my child who will know how to clean, load, unload, carry, aim and shoot a firearm will know the dangers and be well aware of how to handle a firearm. Do you think living in the dark is the best way to go? :-\ EDUCATION. Look at Johnny, he was born with a shotgun in his hands and hasn't shot himself in his overgrown head yet. :P

It's not like you forget you left your gun on your kids bunkbed. They are put away, hidden, out of sight, seperated from any bullets, etc.... The curiousity is gone, shooting airsoft guns is nothing new, you've given them the oppertunity to touch a real gun.....why would they be serving a search warrant to find it? Do you know of the ass woopin handed down for even doing the search?

If you're talking about access as in kids stumbling upon guns they've never seen before and didn't know anything about....yes, then you have a danger.

It never gets old, but the itch to go and do it the first time you have access to a bb gun when you're 12 is worn away by having done it already.

100 yards + beer can + 4 inch barrel = Yu'z a muthafucken lie. O0 At about 75 ft. I can put the whole clip within the body outline on the target, but you're talking about 225 ft. past that.

How many of those kids that shot themselves were taught how to handle a gun? How many of them were playing with the gun not knowing WTF they were doing and shot themselves? How many educated gun owners have shot themselves accidentally?

I guarantee more uneducated kids shot themselves than educated kids. That leads me to believe that the guns are not the problem, it's the lack of knowledge about guns and the handling of guns that caused these children to shoot themselves. I was taught to never put my finger on the trigger until I'm ready to fire and NEVER point a gun at ANYBODY, loaded, unloaded, broken, not broken, fake, real, DON'T DO IT. Guess what? I've never accidentally shot anything or anybody. Coincidence? :-\

agreed.Im trying to teach my gf the ins and outs of gun saftey.Never take anyones word its unloaded, never point it at anyting you dont want to kill,be aware of your target and whats behind it,never put your finger on the trigger unless your ready to shoot, the basics.I was taught all that at a young age.

I support gun ownership (i have 4 guns) and conceal carry laws, but I do think certain places you should not be able to have a gun on your person.

recent example here in Ohio.A lady in cinci was at a white castle and shot an unarmed man.He was going around asking people for change,no harm no foul.He walked towards her,she told him to go away he asked for change she shot him.She passed the course and had a legal cwc permit. The man was unarmed and there where tons of other people around that stated he made no threats or made any threating motions. She just got scared and killed him. This is in a state thats had massive protest to the conceal carry law in the first place.More fuel to the fire.

I know enough people that have permits and carry everywhere including bars where it's not legal at all in ohio.Whats going to happen is minor bar fights that would result in a few bruises and getting kicked out's going to turn into someone getting shot because the other persons getting his ass kicked and drunk. Why not just increase armed security in these places? I honestly think more people carrying more guns in more places is going to turn minor things that would just normally be fist fights into shoot outs.Maybe they should make the process to get the permit harder,im not saying do away with it at all. That being said I am going to get my cc permit but im only going to carry when I really think it's needed. (like when im going to meet someone I dont know to sell car parts or have them come here, going to certain parts of town or car meets where stupid ---- likes to happen.

but you're missing the point. if everyone owns a gun in their house, it does NOT mean they will also teach their kids how to use, clean and not use the gun and additionally lock it up

just because 4 members here have known how to shoot guns since they were babies and have thus taught their children how to handle guns, doesn't mean you can apply that logic or ability to the POPULUS.

another HUGE proof of point. everyone in the US must get their permit, take a 5-hour class AND pass their drivers test (some states may require more) but thats the bottom minimum. Now, are you going to tell me that all drivers in the US are good drivers? They all follow the rules of the road? And do not cause accidents?...................................... I didn't think so

Well, you have knives, forks, spoons, toilets, pools, spas, stairs, electrical outlets, plains, trains and automobiles in the average household, all have been known to kill a child at some point in time. If there are parents out there who are too stupid to teach their kids about the dangers of things around the house, then maybe we should ban all knives, forks, spoons, toilets, pools, spas, stairs, electrical outlets, plains, trains and automobiles and ANYTHING else that has ever killed someone in a house. Kids have been known to drown in 3" of water in a bathtub because the parent left the kid unattended for a minute. Does that mean they should take away my bathtub because I might not be a smart enough parent to keep my kid from drowing in it? Do you know how many kids drown in pools each year? What are we going to do about that? Is someone going to come fill up my pool with sand because kids die in pools? :-\

my point isn't that the object is at fault. it is the user. bad drivers arn't bad because of the car it is because they are bad drivers. so the parents are at fault in those cases. if they do not secure the knifes, fence the pool, and lock up their guns then it is the parents fault. I'm just trying to say that you can't trust people to do things PROPERLY. again, i refer back to drivers. every single day i come across dumbass drivers.. rednecks, rightwings, and leftwings etc. i'm just saying people know right and wrong and yet they still are dumb about what should be common sense because...simply there are MANY dumb people in this world

so if your kid doesn't die because you taught them about guns, and my kid doesn't die because i teach them right and wrong and do not keep a gun in the house. then we are set. its the other 303,312,921 people in the U.S. that will have to deal with their own scenarios. but the problem where it bleeds over to BE a concern of yours or mine is if your little kid goes down the street to play at billy's house, and billy's parents leave their guns unlocked. :-\

lol random-strike you have the most pathetic rebuttals.

so you admit there are dumbass people in the world and them having possession of a weapon that they are likely to leave unlocked with their uneducated child is likely to cause a dramatic increase in the amount of accidental shootings (children or adults) :-*

it becomes my problem if everyone in my neighborhood has uneducated children (or ---- even careless adults) with unlocked, and loaded guns ready to add +1 to the number of accidental shootings (shooting me, my friends, family, anyone i know etc)

This is what I want:
http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/p3at.html

Gun shops have them for under $300 out here. I want it because I can carry it in my pocket and not even think about it. It's so compact you don't feel like you're carrying a cannon around with you. You might not look as cool :1 carrying it, but it will be more practical for everyday carry.

Although since guns are dangerous, I highly suggest you buy a puppy instead. Puppies FTW! :1

Well I said "puppy". Of course the right thing to do is have the animal put down once it reaches adulthood. You don't want a full grown animal running around your neighborhood killing people. :S

About a year or more ago I heard they were coming out with a .40 S&W version, have yet to see that one yet. Would be a bad ass secondary.
