About half my neighbors growing up worked at fast food joints. My neighbors in my court house full of half white/half black kids was a haven for the Black male who just got out of the Pen to pull some white ass(fat ----- mother of the 6 kids). I think all 6 kids had different dad's. Middle daughter blasted the mom when i was in 8th grade. Other neighbors house burnt down(crackheads). At one point we were the only non black/mexican family on the whole block. Creekside

You would be looking at a ~$30k house(or less) for a mortgage payment of $300. Tax and insurance will run you at least $150/month depending on what you buy.

Nothing, actually. All of my stuff is in checking for a combination of liquidity and security. What I'm saying is it levels the playing field. Now, suddenly, the guys with millions invested in stocks have next to nothing. Meanwhile my state of life hasn't changed much. Sure groceries are more expensive, but that's not as much of a hit to me as a tumbling stock market is to an investor.
