saran wrap is the worst

That's not right at all. Paraffins are single bonded hydrocarbon chains, name one thats emitted by heating a low density polyethylene like saran wrap. When you introduce enough energy to take it over the level that it's stable its going to start to oxidize, but thats not a hydrocarbon.

Paraffins are alkane hydrocarbons, meaning they have single carbon bonds and are made up of nothing but carbon and hydrogen atoms. Examples being methane/ethane/propane and getting continuously more dense and complex. It's the older plastics that are made with vinyl chloride, like PVC and the older saran wrap that you may be referring to that are carcinogens. It's cool though, it's just bad info I wanted to refute so people who read it don't go thinking plastic is going to give them cancer.

owned :-[
im doing my auto body apprenticeship and thats what the teachers told us
thermal plastics that can be welded give off toxic fumes and then just added on the side the micro wave thing. as for the paraffins when filler (ie bondo) cures the top greasy layer has paraffins in it witch apparently are also toxic
