When the cyl went out on my car I just started in first for like 4 months till I got around to fixing it. I just had to steer while cranking, it would lurch forward until you blip the throttle, then It'd start and drive.

Question, how would changing the key out for a push button be safer? Your clutch switch would still be broken, and therefor still need bypassed.

This is the most pointless post that i spent 5 minutes of my time reading through. If the car doesn't crank over, why doncha check the obvious stuff first instead of going "duhh, i dunnooo" and making a worthless post about it. If ya want to, put the pushbutton switch on the clutch switch instead of to the starter. This post is a good reason why I don't like buying used Hondas from kids
