You are so out of $300.
Plus, if he does anything else to his car it will be that much harder to beat him. He can bolt on a 100 shot, or do a progressive 150 shot and you won't touch him.
Add a nice stall converter and slicks, bye bye chances of even comming close.

That car will run high 12s with a decent tire and a gear and low 12s with bolt ons good luck with the 1.5 though. ::)

Any SOHC D series motor can be a VTEC motor.

I walked on a camaro the other night with my d16a6 w/ a cheap ass t-25 kit on it. It was just a v6 that was dressed up like a v8.

another thing is that after you get up past 200whp you're going to want some lsd when running slicks.

buy a b18a1 you can find them for pretty cheap and you'll beable to make 250whp without much problem on that.

ya the v6s are a joke. the z28 doesn't take much to get fast.
you'll need some boost and traction. good luck.
when you are done with the mods, find another z28 first and make sure you beat it.
