Rear wiper and motor are decently heavy. Probably outweigh your rear interior!!

Lightweight battery is cheap and easy

Plexiglass rear window is probably the biggest of them all

Cutting down the lard on your ass helps I guess

Did I mention I think removing your cars interior on a stret car is retarded? Just screams poor bastard and draws theft

---- doesnt weight that much, no different than bringing around my school bag

haha im a poor bastard and i dont have any rear interior. but i also bought it that way, so thats what i tell people when they ask me. i ------- hate giving people rides or having more then one person in my car, so its nice when i got a car with only two seats. not only is it uncomfortable for me but for the passangers when theres more then two people in a two door car. i also do not have a family or kids or any ---- like that so i dont have to have more seats. but mainly im a poor bastard : ). ---- theft if i have no rear interior they can tell that im a crazy bastard buy that ---- i have laying around in my car. if your car is really greasy and ---- under the hood maybe spray some of that off. im sure you will get a pound off lol.

I have no rear interior in my celica. With hondas I don't think it matters much, but I took about 120lbs of ---- out of the back of my car. Id like to do something with the front seats to make them lighter or change them over. those bitches weigh like 52 pounds each :-X

ya i dont think you get much weight out of the older hatches and crx's by stripping the rear, a guy on h-t did a write up a long time ago about stripping his 92 hatchback and wieghed each thing he took out rear seats, carpet, sound deading, quater panels, and headliner and piller trim. i calculated 64 pounds that he took out. you can read it in the archives, http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/642479 , i just got from my front seats back all taken out and i weighed my car the other day its a 89 std hatchback with the d15 still in it, it was 1,975 pounds. i had some junk but not much and the spare tire still in it. so i could probibly drop another 20 pounds out of it and then my passanger seat real easy. but im happy with under 2000pounds. but now i need a new motor and to turbo this sence im getting rid of my 95 coupe-2550pounds with turbo and b16 in that car full interior.

Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?

on my coupe I did the following.

Removed carpets.

Removed rear seats and pannels

Removed spare tire

Removed AC completely

Relocated battery to the back

Removed power steering system completely and converted to a manual rack.

will be removing the Si dash with the air bag and most of the crap under the dash and putting in a dash from a CX with most of the crap cut out.

Goal is to get this 2400lb beast to about 2000lbs.

OMG this is the most ricey ---- I ever heard.....if your boosting a good 300 hp in a CRX or civic....---- weight
only riceboys remove thier ------- seat and gut an interior.......
get a ------- clue
I hate dumbass kids and thier "weight discussions"
who gives a ---- it will prolly never see a 10 sec pass...... so why gut the interior

Weight doesnt mean a ------- thing when you have the hp and tq to pull it.......
unless its something like a 4000 pounds then youll need well over 300 hp to go anywhere

geez

with a decent setup, traction is the issue. weight reduction won't help too much, especially when the ---- weighs practically nothing anyway.
