CRX Fuel tank weight?

Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
Rear wiper and motor are decently heavy. Probably outweigh your rear interior!!
Lightweight battery is cheap and easy Plexiglass rear window is probably the biggest of them all Cutting down the lard on your ass helps I guess Did I mention I think removing your cars interior on a stret car is retarded? Just screams poor bastard and draws theft ---- doesnt weight that much, no different than bringing around my school bag |

Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
on my coupe I did the following.
Removed carpets. Removed rear seats and pannels Removed spare tire Removed AC completely Relocated battery to the back Removed power steering system completely and converted to a manual rack. will be removing the Si dash with the air bag and most of the crap under the dash and putting in a dash from a CX with most of the crap cut out. Goal is to get this 2400lb beast to about 2000lbs. |

Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
OMG this is the most ricey ---- I ever heard.....if your boosting a good 300 hp in a CRX or civic....---- weight
only riceboys remove thier ------- seat and gut an interior....... get a ------- clue I hate dumbass kids and thier "weight discussions" who gives a ---- it will prolly never see a 10 sec pass...... so why gut the interior Weight doesnt mean a ------- thing when you have the hp and tq to pull it....... unless its something like a 4000 pounds then youll need well over 300 hp to go anywhere geez |
Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
with a decent setup, traction is the issue. weight reduction won't help too much, especially when the ---- weighs practically nothing anyway.

Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
x2
so you're telling me say a car is 2700 lbs and is stripped down to 2200 you dont think that'd make enough of a difference in a car that you dont care about keeping the interior anyways? Give me a break. |
Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
My 91 HF weighed 2000lbs on the money with a B16 swap and only part of the rear interior. Not that HF's actually came with a lot of rear interior but when I got my car it was all gutted out and I've been getting pieces here and there - the ---- really does weigh next to nothing.
A few more tips to help you.... Like somebody else said get rid of the hatch you currently have, put the one you have with plexi-glass in there and make sure there's no wiper or wiper motor. If you can find one grab an HF rear bumper support as they are supposedly much lighter than an Si or DX support. The only other thing that is really heavy in these cars are the seats, you can just replace them with some after market ones - but try and avoid the rice. |

With a background like that, i would keep the ---- talking to a minimum. |
Re: CRX Fuel tank weight?
IUnno I was drunk
And i have no clue as to why i asked that on here your right on that one.... I just see allota kids around here with thier civics and accords with no seat and a stripped interior still get spanked by v6 mustangs and ----...its pathetic losing weight is good....but not on a 15 sec street car..... its not gonna make that big of a difference.....unless you go real extreme with it |
