AT conversion costs
This is just a info type post. I am a total moron when it comes to MT parts, because my only honda is a AT.
A guy offered to sell me for $200: Slave cylinder hard lines Si Tranny linkage shifter pedals |
Re:AT conversion costs
sounds decent to me. make sure the tranny has no grinds and is a REAL si tranny.
|
Re:AT conversion costs
well the Si part will be easy, the grinds will be hard, b/c it is out of the car. I know where the kid lives so the tranny will be through his window if it grinds.

Re:AT conversion costs
I'd still try to talk him down a little, but in my opinion the deal doesn't seem too bad. For some reason I was thinking hydro tranny, you have an 'EF' right?
Regardless, I would see if he'd bite on $150 just for the heck of it. Or try 175. And knowing which window he sleeps under would be a plus. :P See if he can provide some type of warranty towards grinds too. If no warranty, price goes down. ;) |
Re:AT conversion costs
I have an EG. The tranny is out of an EG also.
|
Re:AT conversion costs
so I was right to think hydro tranny 8)
Well 200 don't sound too bad, but it wouldn't hurt to try and pay less ;) |
Re:AT conversion costs
well I won't be paying a full $200. That is the highest price. He gave me like $50 worth of parts from a parts car, and I also did an ECu for him so that will take care of almost all the rest. Plus he is taking it all off an delivering it. So that ain't so bad.

Re:AT conversion costs
well sounds like you have the deal in the bag 8)
Have fun doing the conversion, it'll be sweet to have a manuel car, but the insurance company still thinks it's an auto :P |
Re:AT conversion costs
well I am only keeping some of the parts. Some of them are going to steve.
|
Re:AT conversion costs
yaaahhhh!!!!
I've seen si tranny's go for $200 by themselves, but when you hear "It's suppossed to be good, but I don't know for sure" the price goes down $150. hahaha |
