I don't think he was ripping on him really, he did mention a few points, but nothing that would be controversial, it was just funny, in his serious funny role....

Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
Asked by E&P after it was over if he thought he'd been too harsh, Colbert said, "Not at all." Was he trying to make a point politically or just get laughs? "Just for laughs," he said. He said he did not pull any material for being too strong, just for time reasons. (He later said the president told him "good job" when he walked off.)
who care? oo good job he made fun of the president like no president in history has been ripped on ::) score one for the liberals they will win for sure next round!! ::) |

The Left is just as wrong and corrupt as the Right. this country needs a HUGE swing away from socialism/liberalism. there are plenty of places in the world were one can go to live in a socialist society. the USA did not become the most powerful, most free, and best country ever to be on earth because of socialism ::) |
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
Johnny, the country isn't liberal. Musoui told the prosecuter he wished 9/11 happened everyday until it got him (the prosecuter) and we can't even put him to death. What makes you think we're going liberal? [/sarcasm]

Bush is a puppethead. You are a dittohead. Where is this liberal/socialist swing? In the media, yes. Domestic policy in this country is not socialist, it's capitalist. If you think people in this government are in it for the welfare of the people, you must operate on moonshine. Yeah, there are maybe you should visit one and become a citizen to see what socialism is really about. China is currently the most dominant superpower on the planet, dipshit. What would happen if we went to war w/ China tomorrow? They would crush us. I agree that this is the most free and best country on earth, that's why I'm here. You are a stupid hillbilly. End of Story. |

End of Story. china could not destory us ::) liberals and dems are COMPLETLY socialist in every aspect. you know why? because socialism equals government power, they want to be the government, and they want to be in control. they are not in it for the "welfare" of "the" people. they are in it for CONTROL. and socialism means government CONTROL. they give and give and give to mindless people because they know they will get voted back in. |

China is not the most dominate superpower. The only thing China has to look forward to is a revolution. |

Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
Alright just a couple things. Originally I think Random thought it was funny and then someone jumped on him and of course he had to defend himself. Umm, I thought it was funny, it definitely wasn't all about Republican poilicy, it was just funny stuff that the administration has done, you could have a roast on a lot of administrations. That being said, Random, how is the US liberal? We elected GW twice, and war certainly isn't liberal, so... Your president got elected twice and you're still not happy, what's it going to take? I mean this thread wasn't a whining, limp-wristed, hippy, liberal thread so I mean, umm, be happy Bush is president and stop complaining. I'm not really trying to take shots at anybody just really curious why Republicans aren't happy with the way their president is running their country...
|
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
Republicans aren't happy because Bush is a liberal spender, he's scared of illegals, he's making the government BIGGER, and republicans in general aren't calling out the nonsense loud mouth liberals. Musoui not getting the death penalty is liberal as ----. If he doesn't get it, who does?
The real question is how many months of the year do we work to pay the government to do absolutely nothing for us? And how many is too many? I think working to pay the government one day is bullshit. Don't ask me for ----, and I won't ask you. The attitude lately is that every problem in everyones life should be fixed by the government. That's not the governments job. It's your job to be responsible for yourself, and the growing attitude is that we don't need to be responsible for ourselves because it's the governments job to bail us out. |
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
I didn't know you hated GW so much, awesome.
|
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
I don't hate GW. Recently I concluded that I hate political parties. Even though a given parties' ideas are ideas that I believe in, it doesn't mean they do what they say. None of them do. It's kinda like in American History X, Derek Vinyard going to prison to find that the "white power gang" were dealing drugs to their own people, ect. "They don't believe in ----. None of them do" -Derek Vinyard.
Not to associate it with a white power thing, but it's the same scenerio. I'm glad to see all it takes is a little bush bashing to end the argument. :l |
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
I bash Jewish, Hispanic, Liberal, and "Progressive" people also:

MY opinion on the people you bash.y Jews: Not much experience, they where fun hats. Hispanic: Not many in New England, nothing to be mad about. Liberal: me Progressive: Like people that are progressively trying to make the world better before it goes to crap. I'll go read the thread and brush up on my terms I guess. |
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
To me Hispanic, Liberal, and Progressive people are one in the same. I was surpised to see Jewish people so in favor of illegals, but I don't have a problem saying ---- them either. Dirtbags.

tsk tsk tsk. Of all people I thought you would be one who would understand why we can't put a person like Musoui or Bin Laden to death. :3 Musoui would actually prefer the death penalty over life in jail so he can become a martyr. Its actually more of a punishment to let him live a life in jail getting ass raped by mule-cock Tyrone than to kill him and turn him into someone who died 'fighting the infidels' and turn his death into something that could be concieved as glorious to the muslim world. |
Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
I guess the argument could go both ways, but I think one of the lifers will take him out for the fame. ---- em.

I'm glad we didnt put him to death. Its more powerful to kill his name than the person. Instead of a glorious martyr's death becuase teh American government killed him, it would make more of an impact if he died 15 years later from dick puncture wounds to the back of his heart. Guaranteed he wanted to get the death penalty. ---- him, let him live becuase thats not what he wants. Its not a liberal thing, you just need to look at the whole picture which I know is tough for you republicans ;) |

I dont know what jewish people they asked but that is hardly close to correct. Jewish people are about the most racist people you will ever meet atleast thats my experince. |

Re: Colbert rips bush at BIG dinner
Hmmm, this huge socialist movement is coming from where? The crippled Democratic portion of the House, or the crippled Democratic portion of Congress?
And as far as Massoui being a martyr, it only takes one person on the jury to disagree w/ the death penalty and give a person life. Death penalties have to be unanimous by Federal law. I think it's good that he didn't get the death penalty, he'll get it in prison w/o all the headlines. Which is the best thing that can come of the present situation. |

https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...wnfGxpYmVyYWw= I'll choose my "liberal" socialism over fascism anyday. edit: but to stay on topic, it was alright...nothing spectacularly funny. Great job as always at the oreiley-ish personality though. |
