Re: Civic+vette
think of it this way
take a vet lighten the *** and body to the weight of a civic then throw on a max 215 tire in the back
i dont give a ---- if you have 400 whp the amount of torque going to those wheels will spin them like nothing
my 250 in 2nd and 3rd will pull harder then 400 whp in 5th or 6th
now on slicks or from a rolling start is a different story
intimated a little
but id still go for it

Re: Civic+vette
true but i think the front wheels in a civic can handle more power then rear with a light *** and heavy front end
im not saying id smoke him 100%
if the dude could handle the car and knew what he was doing he take me for sure

Re: Civic+vette
Id love to run that thing!!! Think id get him, but nonetheless a very cool project... THATS WHY IT WAS LAME TO SEE ALL THE **** ON THEAT VETTE FORUM SLAM HIM.
I personally think any good running 400ish whp would keep up... we have a number of those running around here on this site, as im aware that there are cars here faster than mine.... a few at least...
Although RWD and good HP and tq... it comes at 1 expense alot of WEIGHT ( ALl the chassis work- sub frames, the power/drivetrain/rear end...etc)... Be really curious to know what the pig weighs when its all done.... The only thing that makes up for weight is power, i dont think enough of it is gained to make up for the weight the car has gained vs a well running turbo setup..Justy an opinion Traction is an issue with any car that has a sigificant amount of power, so in my opinion negates itself as a valid argument.
I HOPE he beatrs it at least just a little...
The deception of the sound is very very neat!!!
