Civic with h22
Im kinda new with imports and such so be patient with me ; )... i was just wondering if i get an H22 engine from a prelude and stick it in a civic EX what kind of HP would I be running also id like an estimate of how it would do on the quarter mile. |
Re:Civic with h22
185whp and high 13's in the 1/4 mile, that's my guess.

Re:Civic with h22
stock h22's traditionally put down somewhere in the 160's whp.
I suggest searching some other sites for general swap info, such as honda-tech.com and honda.hybrids.jp read all the FAQ's and if specific questions come to mind try doing a search of their message boards. Read as much as you can. welcome |
Re:Civic with h22
if you take the h22 out of the prelude and put it in the civic the hp will be the same buddy :-*, but your looking at a 13 sec car for sure. even 12's maybe with some slicks
i would do a search before u post out questions like that. just turbo what you got :P |

Re:Civic with h22
wow, thanks guys all the replies have been more then helpful and i think thats what im going to do i got a 1969 mustang coupe that i can sell for like 7k and im hoping to get a civic from a friend who belongs to a theft recovery acution for around 3.5k and and that would leave me more then enough for a h22 engine and maybe even a decent turbo.. = ) that would probably put me in or close to an 11 sec car. |

Re:Civic with h22
Canada and US motors are different. Yes the USDM Prelude VTEC has 160HP.. don't know the JDM specs, too lazy too look it up.
Did you ever think about how much that H22 will throw your car's balancing off? Great for the dragstrip, but for everyday driving? |
