Kev's been working out. :P
If you want to weld like a pro, get an automatic helmet. I can't weld with a regular mask. Well, I can't really weld with an auto mask either, but it's way better. ;) __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

You gotta turn up the heat on that welder and get some better penetration. Come on now, don't be afraid of a little penetration. ;)

Not trying to thread jack but Will the welder at wal-mart be sufficient to do things such as charge pipes and exhaust? It's a little cheap thing like $90. Not sure what type but its 70 amps I think.

THREAD JACK:
I just did some fantastic welding with my El-cheapo Ebay welder. I found out that the spool works alot better as it gets smaller. It keeps getting clogged up and turns into a rats nest. >:( This ---- is nasty, but it works. I can't pick on ANYBODY too bad because my ---- looks like ass too. :( http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL111/...6/51636215.jpg http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL111/...6/51636185.jpg I welded a 2.25" into a 2.5" pipe. It was a bitch, but it actually worked. http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL111/...6/51636203.jpg http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL111/...6/51636199.jpg For reference, this is the welder I used: http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL111/...6/51636668.jpg Sorry for the thread jack. :-[ EDIT: Just found my new avatar. 8) __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |

Kevin, that ---- is true inspiration for everyone to do thier own chargepipes. That ---- looks nice.
it's a whole lot better than paying a guy $400 bucks, huh Bamboo? :-X :D |
Re:charge pipes = finished!! *pics* *PICS BACK UP*
I have that same welder.. and my welds look way better, i had to add a spring on the tensioner though so it was more consitant.. before i did that my welds looked like yours.

Re:charge pipes = finished!! *pics* *PICS BACK UP*
lol, so much spatter, spray the pipe with that spatter resistant stuff before you weld, then use a brush after your done, that way your ---- looks half assed. not ------- snot welds

Re:charge pipes = finished!! *pics* *PICS BACK UP*
It's good enough for the girls I go out with. :P
That spatter ---- was all over my garage floor. It makes a nasty mess. I don't really weld enough to need a big expensive setup, so this works for me. This was only the 3rd time I ever used it in like 1 year. __________________ Best Car Insurance | Auto Protection Today | FREE Trade-In Quote |
