what is a "static IP " and do i need it.

I have a 2Mb down and 512kb up ADSL line. You can get them as high as 8Mb down here, and one company just recently started offering 20Mb downstream on DSL.

I might get that in 2006, I don't trust that new company just yet. But think about all the porn you could download with a 20Mb/sec downstream
