i got a 2000 ranger. v6 extended cab

i think that has little power. torquey as hell but no power. i get 22-25 mpg average. on mine

i think i got 65k miles on it.. hardly anything on it. but i can hear that ----------ing truck pings like ever so lightly on full throttle and I've already done full tuneup full everything full
i could think of. its stock...

oh well, it drives without issue aside the whole WOT issue.

they do? I've been at ford for over 2years and haven't seen a v6 late model ranger come in with bad heads yet. The new sohc 4.0's are noisey pos compared to the older ones. If I was getting a v6 ranger I'd go with the 3.0 but overall the 4cyl is the better engine.

My dad also has a 2000 3.0. Getting near 200k on it, tranny rebuild, but other than that no issues. None engine related.

A word about the 2.3. That was a pinging SOB, but it's still lived forever.

Thats not a big deal for me to do.

2wd trans is a cake walk, plus I plan on putting a new clutch on it anyway. Might as well change the slave while im at at.

Thanks for the heads up.

My dad has an 02 mazda b4000.

the 4.0 gets shitty mileage.

The automatic trans feels like a dog

The brakes were completely fucked at 20,000 miles (bought it brand new) front and back.

The 4wd solenoid switch went in it after like 2 years. (couldn't shift to 4wd)

After working all the crap out, it's been doing pretty good and has around 55,000 on it. I think it's alright. would I buy one? Only if I absolutely couldn't find a Toyota.

The baby is doing well, he wakes up every 3 hours to eat and be changed. Nature has its way of keeping parents rested, but Im tired and achey b/c I have a cold. My wife is sore but she's not complaining. My mother in law comes by every day to cook and help out.
The Jeep is sweet, metallic black, Special Edition, leather. I did all the fluid changes, full tune up and detailed it. Its not the greatest on gas, 15mpg is what the overhead display reads. The ride is plush and enjoys NYC potholes. Come by when you get a chance.
LMK if you need anything.

Dude. NYC? I was just there last week for a few days with the g/f. All my money is gone now, and that was the biggest clusterfuck of driving I have ever done. If I were to do it again, I would have ditched the car 50 miles outside the city and called a friggen cab. Maybe I'm too much of a country hick or something
