I just picked up a 98 B2500 which is the same as a ranger. Changing the plugs is kind of a bitch but it pulls around 2 ATV's with a trailer no problem. It's got an idle problem right now. Might just need to clean the IACV. ???

Solid trucks my ex had one forever. The fact they are powerless sucks but they will get you where you need without an issue. Getting up a hill is a challange.

Im more interested in mileage than power.

Im coming out of an 06 civic manual that gets at WORST 30 mpg. And ive gotten over 40.

The Danger ranger was pretty badass, Ill go for something like that in the future. Most likely have a t25 and stock tubular manifold w? up-pipe though. Non intercooled @ 4or 5 psi. Just something for 2000rpm boost/pulling the racecar and hilly areas.

BTW nice truck skinnye. Are fords 5x114.3 ? If so im gonna put my prelude sawblades on it.

I am a mechanic also and these trucks are bullet proof. They run forever and do get very good MPG.

yep 5x114.3 so most mustang wheels will work as well, if you run the turbocoupe manifold you have to ditch or cut into your heater box/ac box. You could just swap the whole engine or put a 5.0 in it, I know a guy who has a chevy small block in his ranger.

Just dont get the v6 unless you want to replace the heads. They like to crack and press. the coolent system. I know this because we replace my step dads 4.0 v6 with one from craigs list that was a great running motor. :X Little did we find out that it had the same problem of the one we just pulled. :S
