Ok not buy from ebay nor a junkyard. Intresting since both have hella good deals if you look and are patient. HMT is about the yard I think honda-tech may fit you better

Hallo,
yes its true that you can find some nice price things on ebay or the junkyard, but's its some kind of bet between a few friends. And the big problem is the GT Turbo we want to install... everywhere i look they are >=1000$ for a GT28RS i.e. i know a T3/T4 is cheaper and is good as well (i have one on my own car right now) but thats the deal we want to make... i know here are mayn ppl around who can build a kit together for very less money so thats the reason why a ask here and not at H-T... but if you are so good, why are you only tell me that this is easily possible... tell me where i get the ---- ;-) that would help me more... @hotrex: Sorry but i don't think its possible... maybe you can make a list how much do you pay for all this stuff? 400whp setup incl. fully build b16 for <=1500$ ... not with new and good quality stuff... but maybe you bring some light in your magic setup ;-) Thanks so far to the ppl who offered me some url's. the last car we turboed cost around 700 total, all tunertoys parts and some homies throing in parts. it was a nice BB turbo too. 13.5 @ 5psi stock LS in a hatch

Malte. obd1 b16a longblock with bad rings---$400 nib eagle rods- trade for manifold, my cost--$45 used .10 over srp pistons----$200 devcon block filler-----$35 reused bearings------free full gasket kit------ 80 bucks basic machine work-----30 rack of beer ( dads friend) $13 price of fully built b16a 400whp capable-------$ 773.00 TURBO KIT mini ram manifodl made by me---------my cost $70 dsm bov-------freebie borg warner gm-8 turbo in mint shape------$30 dollars obd1 p72 ecu chipped with crome and conversion harness --- left over from last setup 3 inch piping for open dp exiting by front wheel-----freebie ( dumpster diving) tuner toys 550cc injectors ----200 intercooler----made by me powerstroke core----- 80 bucks oil linekit.--- pieced together from mcmastercarr w/ 3an stainless line made by me--- 22 dollars. charge pipes--- freebie, left overs from various installs GRAND TOTAL $1475 DOLLARS ( give or take 100 for misc costs) the key like everyone says, is how much can you do yourself. im my case, im building my own motr, doing all the welding and even fabing my own manifolds . thats why i will make 400whp for 1500 or less including turbo kit and motor. so there. ic an be done, and it will be done |
