Build Low budget Turbo Kit - without Ebay and ----. Possible?
Hallo,
maybe something in this direction was discussed earlier but i found nothing which fits to my criterias.
here is the project: we want to built up a turbokit which doesn't costs more then 2500$ from reliable parts (no ----, we want at least a bit quality)
and here is where it is complicated:
we dont want to buy from:
- ebay
- junkyard
- companies which sell bad quality ----.
We want to buy from normal shops which can provide very part not only one time... we don't want to search long time for the parts...
if its possible we would use a GT BB-Turbo but they are very expensive.
if budget has some space a clutch would be good to have beacuse our goal is something around 280 HP from a B16 Engine.
Many things can be made by ourselfs (Downpipe, Chargepipe, Manifolds) to safe some money...
do you think this is possible, i know its hard but we have a bet to win ;-) and want to do everything to reach the goal.
Engine management should be Crome or uberdata or so... so no FMU, Apexi or something else...
Hope to get some links of shops where we can find parts to reach the goal.

intercooler price are good...
but whats about the turbo? they only have one... hope to find someone who can tell me a shop where i can get GT Series Turbos for less then 1000$ ;-)

I recently was contracted to put a turbo kit together for a local shops' customer. I can't remember the exact amount, but adding up everything my site offers minus the bov and turbo (things I don't carry), I think the total was around $1300?
The true issue of saving money on a turbo kit comes down to how much you can fabricate yourself.

end yourself. were not going to peice a kit together for you. iif you cant find the ---- to build it for less than 2500 with all new stuff your a ------- retard

For $2500 you can put together a monster setup, that will take you far over your 280HP goal on a b16a.
