The build. Finally made up my mind. High Comp. LS/VTEC Turbo, xeno-Stylz

Well, I have been throwing around exactly what I am going to do and have finally decided today after talking to a highly recommended, competant and honest machinist today.

I am putting together a higher comp LS/VTEC build and just kind of wanted to document the progress here, post some pics as I take them and then post the numbers when its all said in done. This will be going in my 91 Integra of course :)

Parts list (with prices):
- LS Block (~60k original miles) - $100
- Bore/Hone to 81.5mm - $150
- Assemble complete shortblock, crank micropolished - $450
- 9.5:1 Compression, 81.5mm CP Pistons (got the rods, pistons and GE LS/VTEC conv kit for $800)
- Eagle Rods with the 3/8" bolt
- OEM bearings
- OEM Waterpump, oil pump, seals, etc (whatever they cost)
- GSR head, Hotrex's old stock head with distro - $400 (this should bump my comp to about 9.9:1 or higher) :l
- ARP GSR Headstuds, new - $50 :P
- OEM timing belt
- some sort of adjustable cam gears

This will be mated to my current YS1 USDM GSR Cable Tranny (would like to rebuild and add a Quaife, someday)

I will be using a stock rad and all parts of my current turbo setup (IP Mani, SC34 turbo). I will probably get a nicer CCA Intercooler, use 2.5" charge piping all the way. I will keep my exhaust as is (2.5" from the downpipe back) except I will probably eliminate the cat or just add a cutout.

For daily I will probably do 8psi low boost and 1 bar high boost. At the track and on the dyno I may have the balls to take it to ~18psi or so but with the compression being so high and stock sleeves...i unno.

Tell me I'm crazy :P

Goal is to have everything in and done by April 1st 8)

I guess it would be dumb to say its all in the tuning, to you at least. :1

Good luck, and good tuning.

seems like it is going to be an awsome buildup and some all out tuning, maybe you should make the due date april 2nd instead of april fools day ;) lol

if you plan on getting the crank polished id go with acl bearings not oem, and youll be spending about 12 bux per bearing too. but setup looks good, i think you should buy one of my charge pipe kits :) ill make you a deal:)
