Boxster cause i'm a fag? 15k roadster convertible, what are my choices?
 

I want a convertible again,I really miss my del sol. I can spend 12-15k, what are some recommendations? I dont want a car that is old or has reliability problems.

s2k is probably the only legitimate convertible i would drive. Most sportier cars that are normally sex on wheels look like ---- when they make them convertibles. My personal choice beyond an s2k or a del slo would be a 300zx tt with t-tops. Thats sex on wheels right there. They made them up to 96 i believe, so though thats not new, pretty much anyone that has half a ---- for a brain would still have it in like-new condition

Ever consider something like a Triumph TR6 or MGB or a Spitfire or Sunbeam Tiger? Bit older, but would be loads of fun, especially the Tiger.. Mini-Shelby ftw. One of my frat brothers chose an S2K over a Boxster and doesn't regret it though

yea dude. you can find mg's with minor surface rust for <2000 grand all over. not to mention probably the easiest v8 swap you can do

I would pick the s2k over miata.

Hella fun to drive, not much problems with them and they can take a beating.

Only downfall tha i really noticed with the s2k is the space. If your about 5'11 over 180lbs i would not even consider getting one.

s2k = fun but slow

del sol = fun but gay

miata = gay fun

you could look into an older BMW or Mercedes. Maybe a Z3? Or better yet an M roadster. I personally would love to have an S2000, but the thought of an M roadster is tingling. When we bought my mom's wagon, there was one there and it was only like 17k.

I feel that way aswell. A straight 6 would have suited that car better. I like the looks of it but that 4 cyl leaves something to be desired. I bet it would be a blast with just 300rwhp

just as scottsi said, with 300whp it'd prob be a blast to drive. but with 240 CRANK hp and about 100ftlbs of torque its ------- gay

My celicas is like 102 and the M roadster was 53.. I guess insurance companies like you to have airbags, crash impact zones, abs and ---- like that :X

When i think of junk i think of something that is unreliable or has poor build quality. Just because its expensive doesnt mean its junk...that correct word would be overpriced.

There is a guy that is local to me that has a 02 S2k. Well it has I/H/E and some tein springs and some hawk pads. I watched him run 13.5 in the 1/4 all day long. Not saying that is was fast, but it was ALOT of fun for 15K. I drove it and it was ok, my turbo d16 crx would walk him on the freeway. But in the twistys it would leave me like i was on a bicycle. I would get it if I had a extra 15k :y
