It's a ------- 4.8 and it probably takes him 3 days to get up to the speed limit.

Congratulations on owning SEVERAL piece of ---- hillbilly trucks. I'm not talking about trucks that are older than both of us put together. I'm talking about NEWER trucks, ones that you have never even sat in, can't afford and they probably don't even sell at your local "Bills Auto and Pawn" used car lot. Post pictures of these magnificent trucks you have owned so many of. :1

lol, not quite. its not as powerful as the 5.3, but it can still spin the tires from a stop, and they are larger than stock

I thought that myAE86turbo was merely commenting on how older toyotas last longer, not whether or not they are faster? Did I miss something...

I had an 07 silverado 4 door short bed for a rental for a bit while my civic was broken and it had the little 4.8 in it. it would light up the rear tire. seemed like it drank gas but then again i was used to a little 1.6 SOHC civic.

I wasn't saying it doesn't have the power, I was saying the way he drives it would make it take 3 days to get up to speed. :P

BTW, bigger tires will throw off the MPG rating(could be up or down depending) vs. stock so you can't really use your grandpas truck as an example.
