the 90-95 z's ran the same time and had the same ammount of power, only difference in the time was if they were NA or not, and there were a few diff weight variatons but not that much, the 96z had no VTC which made it lose 20hp, and the 1990 z32's were made and sold in 89

i fixed the sensor light on my car now i just have to get the speedometer and odometer working. Then im going to change the headgaskets and see if the pistons and rods look good. I was going to do a 5 spd tranny swap but to much work and money so im going to try getting this running 15s and sell it for 1500.

Make sure the fuel injector recall has been done to that thing, call up the dealer and give them your vin to see if it has been done. I use to love doing those.

The only thing thats really homo about that car is the interior voice that comes on.. some nasty electronic ----- comes out and says "headlights are on" "keys are in the ignition" god I hated it. They also have shitty suspension from the factory, plus with it being so old I'm sure its really wore out to hell and flops around like a loose cock on a straight road.

It sounds to me like your turbo is shot.That would explain the smoke and low power.I wouldnt really start pulling the motor yet.Does it run on all cylinders?Why are you having the tranny rebuilt?

The seals could be shot and it would still build boost like normal.

well ---- i hope its not the turbo cuz it looks like a bitch to take out. if i get good compression all my cylenders that means the engine and headgasket is good ? i could not tell where the smoke was coming from it did smell like oil though, its only happened twice after the engine was running for a little bit now it doesnt do it anymore that i have noticed.
