I'm 17, and this is what I drive:
Attachment 37121 '91 CRX HF B16 No rust I didn't do the swap myself (bought it that way) but I paid for the car myself. My brother co-signed for a small signature loan and I've been making the payments and insurance payments on it ever since. It's possible to drive something nice at 17 but you have to be pretty dedicated to it. |

What a pile. Those platforms are hard to justify for a motor swap even. That stock unit is trash, along with the car.

It sounds like Boost and I were in the same boat. No one co-signed a loan for me. No one paid for my gas, my insurance, my car, repairs, nothing. I went and worked, got my car and paid for everything myself, still do to this day (although my parents are paying insurance now since I'm in college).

The car is ugly(IMO) and probably does have some serious problems, but you're going to learn a lot about working on cars with it. I had to change my spark plugs in my old Dodge at least once a week because the motor was so worked. $8 a week in spark plugs and about $200 in gas and oil just to keep the pile of ---- running, but it was my pile of ---- and it got me to work and taught me a ton of mechanics skills that I wouldn't trade for the world. My vagina hurts. :l |
