If you bought it 4 months ago, chances are it has either a DVI plug or an HDMI plug, both of wich are adaptable strait to VGA, without a TV card. Also, assuming its atleast a 720p HDtv, you can match the resolution and it will actually be clear and legible, or if its a 1080p, you are talking about a perfect quality monitor. I have a 47" Westinghouse 1080p flatpanel LCD hooked up to a dedicated desktop to use big screen online, but I can also hook up my laptop with a 50ft (no typo)VGA cable. On a 1080p tv you can run a native 1920x1080 resolution (widescren) which is just absolutely wicked looking. It will go as low as 640x480 and 720x400, but anything under 1024x768 (non widescreen) is just illegible for actual online browsing. The only reason I bought teh tv was to be able to take full potential of my ps3 for blu-ray movies, which yes, they are absolutely insane quality compared to dvd, worth the extra money ONLY if you have the tv to support a 1080p signal. I have a buddy that have a HDdvd player and it looks identical to blu-ray so Im not jumping on the "one is better than the other" bandwagon, they both rock compared to old dvd technology... Good luck though, if you pull it off right, you will be pleased with the results. If you need cables, check out monoprice.com, cant beat the prices for Monster Cable-ish quality cables. Honestly, I am an audio/visual ----- and I cant tell the difference...
