new car sales is for suckers, your first year you will prob make closer to $25k. after you work at the same dealer for a few years then the $80k+ starts coming in. in new cars return buyers make you money, if they like you they will come back and buy cars from you forever regardless of MSRP, they just want an easy going buying experience.

used cars are where its at, not at some POS lot though, dealer only. you actually make a percentage of the sale, not a standard amount like a new car.

sysadmins are scrubs? bahahah..... We call developers shaggy hippies.. and for the most part they are.

Nah.. they just think they know something about computars. Fortunately I've been in the field long enough and had enough experience that I don't fall into the "worthless" category... lol... If it weren't for sysadmins.. who would maintain your workstations or development environment? Kinda funny, you need us more than we need you...

Oh, don't worry, eventually your field will get absorbed by the indians... and more than likely you'll lose your job... either that.. or if you're good enough.. you'll keep your job... and review indian written code for the rest of your career.

ive worked at small companies where we build and manage the servers, it seems to work much better than having a "server team" and it taking days to get a change through, or to deploy something.

out sourcing development is on the down turn, because they've realized its not the best way to do shi

I wonder how long it'll take automakers to realise the same? Most auto transmissions 98+ contain significant chinese parts and labor, and it shows.
