CDL driver. lots of places paying $1000+ in my area for local drivers. Had a driver in Autozone last Thursday complaining he wasnt making ----. I asked him what he was making and he told me $600 a week. Sounds ok to me, considering Im making 500 every two weeks at ------- shitty Autozone, putting up with rednecks and 350's and know nothing customers that know more than you. Theres no work for mechanics out here so Im stuck at AZ unless I finnaly go to school. I was making 12/hr flat rate out of High school, but ---- got dead round new years and still is. there is NO mechanic around here. The money is in teh entertainment industry. Im trying to go to school for Recording Arts...I make tracks for local artists and I kick ass at that ----. My goal is to produce.

Not all had any talent whatsoever, but a good number of them had work ethic and were/are capable of learning. I liked Johnny better when he was poor, and could barely afford to boost a rusty 5.0 Mustang. Nowadays he acts like he's too good for the trailerpark. :( |

They put a sour taste in most company's mouths because they couldn't do the jobs they were getting paid huge amounts of money for. I've seen it happen a couple times in my career. |

Most good sysadmins and IT managers I've met had a degree or background in something else entirely. All you have to be is Geek, your degree is a non-issue.
