dayum... this makes me wanna go all motor |
Re: B18 Stroker Cranks... Tuner Toys wants your opinions.
Expensive + Low power gain = N/A tuning
Turbo + Nig Nog boost = HMT |
Re: B18 Stroker Cranks... Tuner Toys wants your opinions.
my car has under 200hp. it has whopped on several higher HP cars. it all depends what you want. remeber that.
lets not turn this into that sorta thread... on another note, Craig, I see no reason why you shouldnt run the product IMO. And the only way to get any sorta knowledge is to get one and check it out yourself. Like a few others said, if you offer the crank your going to have to offer the rods and pistons to go with it, im sure you were aware of that though.... |

yeah Craig, the B16A, B16B, B17A1, B18C, and B18A/B & B20B/Z all share the same main bearings, flywheel bolt pattern, and crank snouts... now the rod journals are different withs and you will need the correct set of rods for them. i also remember people using [modified] B20A5 cranks in B18 motors, think the Crower cranks where based of these? |
Re: B18 Stroker Cranks... Tuner Toys wants your opinions.
Its much much easier to engineer and manufacture a rod than it is a crankshaft. There are way more stresses and the quality of the machining is much more important on a crankshaft. I have seen a few fatigue fractures with crankshafts and it would make me nervous to run something that isnt quite proven. I would send it to a machine shop and get their opinion.

Re: B18 Stroker Cranks... Tuner Toys wants your opinions.
your biggest problem is going to be the fact that its a relatively unknown manufacturer, and nobody has any numbers to back these babies up.
get yourself a motor making good hp with one of these cranks to prove the quality, and i think they would sell like hotcakes |

I might be interested for my Budget N/A (I know budget/power and N/A YA RIGHT) LS/Vtec Build. But it won't be for a while now, and if I can afford it!
