Re:axle problem
Fluid shoudn't leak out when you take out the axles.

Re:axle problem
Fluid will leak out if one of the axels is removed FYI. The axels are inserted into the differential, the diff is ssoaked in tranny fluid! There are seals that are black that sit in the tranny right where the axels are inserted! These keep the fluid in the tranny. Upon removing a axel from a transmition, especially if the front is jacked up and the rear isn't, and there is nothing that come out then you tranny was almost (empty) of tranny fluid! This is a fact!

Re:axle problem
I know on crx cable tranny's, you only have to drain teh tranny oil when taking the DRIVERS side axle out, not the passenger side.

Re:axle problem
I've changed a bunch of axles in my rex and never have had fluid leak out. I know there is fluid in there too.

Re:axle problem
No there was no fluid leaking from the tranny. The tranny doesn't grind either. Do I need to put more fluid in the tranny?

Re:axle problem
it depends on how you have the car jacked up, sometimes it will leak out, sometimes it won't
