I wonder if this will work on my 92 sedan, if so it could be next years mod, How many wreckers up in the states carry AWD wagons? we dont really have anything good here.

The Honda wagons only send 10% of the power to the rear wheels so its pretty much a worthless swap. :(

If I was going to do it to a 92+ I would buy the trans thats on ebay right now from a jdm 4wdr civic because it has a hydrolic clutch. I believe the wagovan has a cable but I am not 100% on that. I dont think there is any more wagovan in the us then in canada you just got to keep your eyes peeled for them. since I have been looking I have found a few around town and I'm in a decent smaller sized town in bc.

so, to get more power to rear, what would you have to do? put in a different lube in the coupler thing?

No you could either live with it or remove it and put a strait shaft in , but I wouldn't use it on the street. You get good power to the rear it just takes a second to engage the coupler.

Take a quick read and look at the HT thread,
http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=411318

Viscous coupling, so the TQ transfer is dependent on the speed diff. between the front and rear and the resulting temp. of the silicon in the coupling unit.

Its not a set %

This guy built a rt4wd crx with the crv tranny. Some of the pics will give you some ideas about what you need to do to the rear suspension...
