attn: 4wd wagovan owners cough*leed*cough

How much abouse will the drivetrain put up with on these little pimp wagons? I sold my hmt crx, have a spare z6 and I need something for the winter so I was thinking 90 hatch with wagovan drivetrain, 14b, z6, 10 psi'ish. BUUUUTTTTTTT I dont want to do all this work if its going to be super weak. I think I remember leed doing 5000rpm launches on dry pavment 8) I would think this has been done before so does anyone have any website/ articals? I know the crv ---- is better but this is hmt budget style. ;D

This dude put a Z6, turbo, and awd in his 2wd wagon:

You'd have to shorten the propeller shaft. Hatches have shorter wheelbases then wagons.

Also rear suspension on wagons is different than all other civics: the rear trailing arms are longer. You'd have to customize the stock ones.

Everyone says the rt4wd is "hella weak". I've never seen it broken. There are a few turbo, SC, Z6, ZC wagons out there, without any failures yet.
I would think the rear diff would be the weakest part of the whole system... the rear axles are pinner. The CRV rear diff has the same bolt pattern as the 4wd wagon diff, but considerably beefier axles.

I am a master fabricator ::) seriously though mods wont be a problem, I just dont want to spend the cash and time if its not worth it. Thanks for the links. does the rear diff from a crv fit in the wagovan subframe?

The whole time my shitbox has been boosted its had a slipping clutch. The current tranny has 270k on it, and I have done a ---- load of 6k dumps w/ it in the SL gear on dry pavement. Based on how the system works, it spins the fronts for about half the gear.
Someday, when it does have a decent clutch, I have no reservations about launching the ---- outa it and see what happens. Even w/ the slipping clutch, Im very hard on it daily, and so far so good.
Ive already got a back-up trans and rear diff ready for action.

What year civic is that rear suspension from? I thought all wagons had a solid diff and axle rear end.
