I personally have only served one night in jail when I got picked up for DWI, really only about 10 hours.

My father, on the other hand, served 26 months in a min/max facility in GA. Felony possesion with intent to distribute, and conspiracy. When ever he talks about it, he says it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Given he was on the minimum security side, so this may not relate to a maximum security prison if that's where you are headed.

Just keep to yourself. Make friends, and avoid making enemies. Don't bother anyone that doesnt bother you. Pretty much 9/10 guys are there just wanting to do their time and get out. But if someone does make it a point to start trouble with you, sit him down quick.

Avoid the hole (especially is severe climate weather). From what he told me the hole isn't climate controlled, and it's a lot like a microwave in the summer, and a freezer in the winter.

Use it as time to reflect on your mistakes, and prepare for your release. Its much harder to get a job when you have to check the felony box on a job application.

so sadly true...it really hard to fight the law unless you got connections.

Never been to prison. Been to jail many times.......

I hopre your a decent sized guy. If not, have your family/friends send you lube weekly. Good luck. I'm sure the Oakland prison is a very friendly place, hustla. ;)

VERY VERY boring. I've heard there is a big difference between county and prison. More freedom (if you want to call it that) at prison
