Any of you **** like Skylines?
A friend just traded an '04 Accord and some skrill for a '99 GTT with 16,000 km on it. Florida titled, getting it transfered over to NC now. Kinda sad to see how the importer (bought it for himself) and his riceboy employees tried to completely ruin the poor car before breaking down and selling it to my friend.
I mean, right around 8000 *miles* and it has minor dents from the company that shipped the car letting it smack against the shipping crate, that the importer hit with *krylon*. The door panels have had ------- sheet metal screws drilled into them to install some cheapass tweeters, wtf? Front bumper has been replaced with only the cheapest available fiberglass mis-fitting "GTR style" eGay bumper cover. The engine was pulled out (for no obvious reason??) and half the accessory drive pulleys have dents in them from the monkeys banging the engine into ----, and one of the *cam gears* is cracked.
I was prepared to hate on this thing, but it's really pretty nice. There aren't a lot of stupid bells and whistles, the gauges are tasteful and minimalistic, the seats nicely fit non-fat American ***... they aren't the tight JDM *** size of the Miata seats, or the bloated seats found in most US-oriented "performance" import seats. The car has some size to it, and is RWD, so after some suspension work and the GT35/40R that *was* going to go on the Sentra it should be pretty badass.
Only problem is, when it was being towed home Friday night, the riceboys on the local cruise strip were running out in the road trying to block the towtruck so they could look at it, and 8-10 carloads of guys followed it for a couple miles until they pulled over in a gas station to let the fools look, and tell them they don't need to know where the car resides. It's going to be a huge theft-magnet.

Guy in the black shirt is the car owner. If the phone had a fisheye effect, I could get his black 70.5 split bumper Camaro in the pic, too. The joke is the Skyline is the good twin, and the Camaro the bad twin.

It seems like alot of imported cars come in through FL. What comes in those? A RB25DET? So did the car come with an engine in it when it was shipped or they just took it out for the ---- of it? I know sometime they pull the engines in complete cars when they ship them so they can get them into the US.

I think after fixing those few little things it could come out fresh and clean JD. See if Frank can ****** some of those parts for you, I know he posted a pic the other day of a wrecked GT-R at the junkyard.
