I tried playing with the color balance like whiterice said, but it doesn't give you a full range of colors, and it changes the whole picture and not just the car.

oh come on.. you give me a dark car and you pick white to turn it to..
so much for me feeling like i know a lot about photoshop.

I can tell you how to get the stickers off. The closest thing that i can get to silver is by changing it to greyscale and putting an overlay over the car. Yea, so this looks like garbage..

Ok, so maybe I'm trying to go too far with the first lesson. Lets discuss how you changed the colors of the civics.

There's after i got the stickers off.

And.. taking your little sketch literally, this is the best i could do with this (like i said, looks like garbage.)

hahahaha. i told you it looked like garbage.

Anyways, to get the stickers off there i used the patch tool. that thing comes in handy a lot so make sure you figure out how that works.


To change the colors of the civics i just made different layers, each layer was a different color. i used the lasso tool and cut out the shape of the car and deleted all the extra coloring on the other layers. set the layer property to overlay and that's how they turned out.
