nonvtec, i hope you woke up this morning after sleeping on this thread, and then came back to it and thought dam, i sounded like a real ------ idiot.
but you are intitled to your opinions, thats your right, because we are in america and not iraq. its ok, at least your consistant, unlike the leader you want to lead our country.

Re:Another political thread....
im not gonna make a thread about the draft/what a stop loss means.
I will say this...
there will not be a draft.
straight from the horses mouth.
read the quotes... http://www.military.com/NewsContent/...070504,00.html
and if there was a draft...well, i think the picture of an aug issue of navy times explains it pretty well. to sum up the story(which cant be accessed over the net because i wont pay $30 for a username) they are kickin out 60,000 sailors because "they simply dont have a job for them anymore" and "ship use is becomming scarce/no need to spend the money on keeping ships at rediness right now"
sailors who want to stay in the military are being givin $14000, to leave the navy involuntary. so if they were even considring a draft, wouldnt they train these 60,000 sailors in the areas they need them rather than give them $14,000 to leave the military? something just doesnt sound right.
check out this...
