I just paid $75 bucks for a Prestige Alarm. Im gonna install it myself. Those were some pretty good ideas. Im gonna use most of them. BTW the baby monitor was a good one! I would like to see if I can capture the images to record the face of the soon to be victim. :y
But now Im gonna go and pick up something good from my local bakery to give to my neighbors to show my appreciation for holdin it down. ;) |

There are a number of el cheapo but decent cameras and DVI cards on eGay (well, some of the el cheapo DVI cards can suck, ask around before buying). You can aim them at the car, set them to record when motion is detected. Usually the person who goes for your car KNOWs you, and vice versa.

I would aim the camera as close to eye level as I could, not like the 7Eleven stores where all you can view is the person's scalp. DVI? :1 I gotta do some research.

A number of them are 12v powered, and you can equip your car with NIR (near IR) LEDs in the dome and dash... invisible to the naked eye, come on for a couple minutes if the door or suchlike is opened, record old boy's face in all it's glory.

rig up an explosive device and an audio playback that tells them if they attempt to open the doors to get out, or drive the car it will explode. and then bust their asses.

The club, the steering wheel can be broken with vice grips in about 10 minutes The stock steering lock....Honda decided they were going to hang the lock over the edge of the column by a few inches and then use shear bolts to secure it :S A big bar through the wheel, pry down and it breaks, great idea. :l The clutch lock, I can drive a car without the clutch, it's a BITCH when you have to stop, but after first gear, revmatching does the trick The brake lock, you can just use the ebrake to limp it. I used to pull relays and fuses, unless the theif REALLY knows their ---- they probably won't figure it out. If you pull the fuel pump relay then it'll just turn over and they may think it's broken, you could disconnect the injector plugs, but leave them loosely on top of the injectors, they probably won't notice it. Take the rotor out of the distributor if you have one (take like 3 seconds). Like I said, if they're pros, they'll get it with a towtruck, I've also heard of people breaking into the other car boxing in the vehicle they wanted because chances are that other car is probably just a stock POS with no alarm, even if the wheel is locked, all you have to do is take off the ebrake and roll it back far enough to back the other car out. |

i live right outside of fort hood, and there are almost the same amount of cops as civilians here, so there really isn't much car theft going on here. last week we had 43 windows broken out. someone found out about the spark plug porclean and windsheild trick. lol they are in deep ---- if they are cuaght. |

When my car is armed and there is ignition power a relay cuts the ecu power wire. and my alarm is hidden very well, i spent 8 hrs installing it and i install this ---- for a living.

yea when i installed my new alarm, i left my old one in- in a very easily accessed spot.
some theif will get happy when they think their yanking it.. only to hear the siren still going off and there's no power to the car at all, lol |
