so I can get an OE block and throw some forged pistons and rods in, it's basically the same idea, I'll even use oe wrist pins to keep it authentic.

the fact of the matter is the engine has to appear stock on the outside, a cam gear covered by the plastic would accomplish that, as long as you are willing to take the risk nobody is gona come and pop the plastic off and take a peak.

that different.

those arent OE parts. a delta regrind is a modified OE part. The intake manifold cut in half, and ported to ---- is a modified OE part. a forged piston and rod are not modified OE parts

How many degrees retard is a tooth off on the oem cam gear?
That could be a trick if it wasn't unreasonable.

Actually you would only be able to grind ---- off the stock cast pistons and rods if you want to use that analogy. A regrind cam starts out as an OEM part

----, you don't have to get all technical on me. I wouldn't know, I haven't put an engine together yet.

As what the others said...

OEM camshaft just grinded down on the backside. Everything is stock in the engine.
