Yea if you are worried that youre gonna blow somthing up, idk, the best part about it is showing up and raping the car cuz you dont give a ----. I once wasted my automatic accord at the strip (slipping like a mofo, redlined in every gear due to slipping) and i still wasted this kid with a ford focus 3x... each time with a blown tranny. I launch right when i think im gonna redlight (right before the green light turns on, when i see the light right before it go out) and its paid off with .520 ish r/ts consistently and ive never redlighted, but you need to go and see what works for you, thats part of the fun, even if youre car isnt ultimatley fast. When i first started going i thought i was gonna be flamed because my car was running 16s/17s at the time, but nobody gives a ---- because youre there to race. Ive seen people race minivans and chevy blazers and tahoes.. so you can race anything

take out your spare tire and jack etc misc ---- slows you down. Also if you can take your air filter out (just for a run or two, itll make a slight difference) and try airing down your tires to like 15 psi in the fronts for more traction.
