Advice for first time at track?

Well Friday I'll be visiting my friend in Orlando with a HMT turbo sol (slammd sol) on the forum. Anyway Friday we've decided to head out to the Orlando Speedway. I've never ran on the track and only been to one once. (Ours is 80miles away. Too far for my blood.) So anyway to the point. Any advice anyone could give me? Good ways to launch? Any tips? Heh I dont wanna make an ass outta myself. :P

When you sit on the line, holding your rpm's at the desired level, you will see the lights start to drop, you get nervous and floor it. Nothing but a burn out! Try not to get nervous and hold your rpm's where you want them. I'd rather "under launch" than do a smokey burnout.

Don't be a dipshit at the lights, don't have any staging duals with the other guy. Go in, light up both lights, and get ready. Don't roll through the lights before the starter activates the tree.

Drive straight.

After the finish line, slow down.

If your car breaks and you think you might be spewing fluids all over the track, don't drive all the way down. Pull over and save the track.

Overall, just don't get nervous. It's a rush. The mistakes are made when you get nervous. Good luck.

first time everyone gets nervous. dont worry u will screw up

;D it makes for good storys

also dont let your brain let u start letting the clutch up when U SEE GREEN. judge when itll turn green and ------- give her on the 3rd yellow. fact is your car wont be moving before it turns green, cars sits back for about .1s before it actually moves.

good luck

oh, I almost forgot the first rule:

Rule 1) If your not willing to max your car out, or if your afraid of breaking something, you shouldn't go. Too many people say, "I didn't want to break." Trust me, half of the rush is not giving a ---- and just mashing on that fucken thing. :D ;)
