Re:abaz crvtec whats up

----... I put the wrong piston in on my b-series comp calculator, I was all excited thinking I was going to raise the compression, guess not..

B20b block
B18c (GSR) head
B20b Pistons
stock head gasket,

Head has been milled down a bit, its right around 9.5 now, opposed to the 9.8 before with the ls/vtec.

Oh and get this, I went to the machine shop today, and I had 2 bent valves in cylinder #1. Now this isnt the cylinder that cracked the sleeve either. The car had always had a slight miss, and I knew it was something in the valve train... So now it all makes sense, and also why my dyno numbers were a tad lower than I expected. It should be a 300whp no problem now... (hopefully) ;)

eta is next week on this POS...

Did you say the the B18 sleeves are thinner then the B20 ones? Is the B20 sleeved, then measured?

"I measured today, the stock B18 sleeves are 7.15mm and the B20 sleeves are 7.78mm "

B20 sleeves are larger (stock) than B18a/b's but are weaker due to how they are cast together, and not truely round like most open deck sleeved engines.

Ah, I see. What would you suggest for a non VTEC B20, blockguard/pins (like you did) or other? Sleeving is not an option for me. I'll have GHD and some fatty 550s, 14psi? Tuned to perfection of course.
