Sounds like a guy getting his chops busted for being critical of the American government. They don't like it when the respectable, educated types voice an opinion. It does look like he associated with some sketchy fucks, though. Any political/ethnic movement that's getting dumped on is chock full of radicals and extremists - Malcolm X is a perfect example. Given how things were then, I can't say I blame Mr X for hating Whitey. Yet Reverend Mr Martin Luther King, a reknown pacifist and peacemaker, associated with him semi-frequently.

I think Stealthmodes point is that just because he has / had such a good reputation does not mean that he could not do things the government alledges.

the goverment needs scapegoats. im sure theres more detainees than just him. Your not going to get the us goverment to just straight up say "Oh, yeahh uhh we detained you and we were wrong.. sorry." if they wanted to make a case and convict him they could. hes just a victim of insane reasoning.

Since the invention of the internet the us goverment cant exactly pin things on small south american and 3rd world countrys. theres to much information that can be passed. We havent had an instance of combat with europe or any other country full of white people since ww2. Because no ones been doing anything crazy and now we have an extreame amount of comunincation between all of the countrys. The only nations left that we have no comunication with are muslim countrys because they're 3rd world countrys and theres a huge language barrior. Its realy easy to deamonize a country when the media just comes out with muslim people burning the american flag. we dont know what country they are from or what culture they represent. hell, it could jus be some extreamist cell or some old stock footage lying around.

Buk, do you really think just because someone has a good record it means that they are not capable of such allegations? Hell, If I were a terrorist, I'd do all kinds of good things to keep myself under the radar! I bet you there's someone with top secret clearance who is a spy for some country, and he may not even be a citizen/nationality of that country.

That story is one sided, and like you said, the Military likes to keep a lot of things hush-hush so we will never know the whole details.

I read it, seems like he did a lot of good ----, and made a good name for himself. If what the article says is true, and he was involved with jihad training and what not, then he's kind lame. Who knows for sure though.

I didnt read the entire thread, read the first part and let me tell you this.

I am in charge of every Marine in my squardons security clearance, (264 to be exact) what they do, why they need it, and so on. There has only really been one person brought to national attention to ever really go against the military security system just to ---- the system up. He stole a ---- load of information, sold it, then turned himself long after the info was already distributed. He was a top notch navy guy, got meritisouly promoted twice, he was decorated very well, lots of accomplishments while all running this underground operation.

While in Jail the fucker wrote a book about how he did it and how fucked the system is. bacially he owned everyone. (this is not the same guy in the link above)

So the reason this guy is in jail is completly obvious to me. Hes a threat, im 99% sure there is some reason behind it all that isnt being said. National security, especially at a military level is nothing to ---- with anymore.
