Engine displacement is defined as the total volume of air/fuel mixture an engine can draw in during one complete engine cycle; it is normally stated in cubic centimetres, litres or cubic inches. In a piston engine, this is the volume that is swept as the pistons are moved from top dead centre to bottom dead centre.
So basically a 125cc 2 stroke actually displaces as much air/fuel mixture per minute as a 250cc 4 stroke based on identical RPMs. Comparing completely different engine designs such as 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke on the static measurement of bore X stroke just isn't a fair measurement of equality.

Re: 4 stroke 2008 banshee?
basically u ------- dick chods let me lay it to you how it is, what we've got here is 2 totally different engines, on fires every turn the other fires everyother a 2 stroke is design this way so it makes power on every id sure hope a smaller motor firing 2x as fast would have the same power as one 2x as big firing every other time, it only makes sense, but plain and simple u guys hate on me because i own u with a 450, ur all ladys who get sandy vaginas and smoke mountain kings.
