3 puck race clutch... is this right?
Ok guys i got a 3 puck Spec (iron pad) clutch for my accord (its a big big race clutch) and im at 250 miles of break in and ive been messing with this clutch (not really abusive or anything yet, speed shifted 1 or 2x...) and adjusted my clutch cable, and its adjusted to nearly the end of the cable to get a tiny bit of play in it, and it grabs hard, but one time i reved it too high (also an 8lb flywheel) trying to revmatch but i engaged the clutch anyway from 3rd to 4th and the clutch didnt violently engage like (i think, at least) that it should, it slipped for like .25 sec before engaging... do you guys think i have a problem here? Could it have done a little damage with the cable too tight or me slipping it too much or somthing?

well, it was 4th gear and i'm sure you redlined or close to it when you dropped the clutch. where you expecting a burnout? your differential must've slipped a little. dropping the clutch at 7k into 4th is sorta like pulling upto a bick wall and putting it in drive in an automatic tranny car. maybe since you only have 250 miles on it, it hasn't mated well with the flywheel. drop the clutch in 1st and see if it slips, then try 2nd. if it does, then decide when to replace it.

prolly just needs to break in. I remember my friend just put a new clutch in his prelude and he was going on about it wouldnt slip if you soaked it in butter. We went to the track that same night and it was slipping really bad, but after about 5 raping runs it was gripping like it should
