Why bother putting a 6.0L in if not for maximum horsepower? Why not make a smaller engine and turbocharge it? Better gas mileage and easily able to add power.

Bill walks into the local bar, Jack asks about the engine in his new truck. You say " Its a ------ 400hp ls2 6 liter v8 man"
Jack " Man, ain't that the motor they put in the corvettes?"
Bill "---- yeah it is man"
Jack "I bet that mother ****** straight gets it"
Bill has heightend sence of self esteem to go with his new car payment. End of story.
