1st time at the strip

Re: 1st time at the strip
Get slicks if your going to be racing at the track. You will drop a full second off your ET with decent 60 foot times (high 1.7/low 1.8 ) on slicks. I got a boner the first time I launched on slicks and I didn't even launch that hard. Launching off the rev limiter is defintely nice, you don't have to wory about ----.
With drag radials you have to figure out what rpm to launch at and what psi to run in the tires. Plus you will have to feather the gas until your going fast enough to put it to the floor. Evey track is different also, so it will change slightly. I'd only get drag radials if you plan on street racing.

SO would drag radials be a waste of money, compared to just geting slicks. and what slicks mount up to stealies lmao

Good mph's. You'll see 12's easily with 1.7 60's. I used 22" slicks mounted on lenso's (thanks d15bastard) and pulled low 1.7's, and my crx never left the line in a hurry... d15/11psi. My 20x8's were sorely lacking in the launch area.
22" ftw
22" ftw

Donnie the driving machince was cutting 1.7's off that old worn out 20's I bought when I was like 19 amazing. Oh and yes go with a 22/23 inch tire
MH is the cheapest company for slicks and they work alot with improt racers fwd so they are good peole. Order directly from them for cheapest pricing.

Re: 1st time at the strip
so i looked at MH and i do have a queston about the tire width. I guess the stock stealie is a 8 in rim, can you mount a 9 in tire to that, i know with truck tires you can do ---- like that, but can you do it with a drag slick.
To have the tires shiped its 274, do you think i can do better than that, or is that bottom of the line pricing there
I keep readin over the traction bar stuff, and it sounds like some of ya are saying i dont need that or am i misreading it, cause i got wheel hop out the ***.
