1st time at the strip

This friday was my first time going to the strip. Acording to people there i did pretty good, but i thought i would have done better

It was a 95 ex full interior, with a 98 ls. would launch at 10 psi, and switch to 15 once i got in third.
The suspension is completely stock, i don't have a limited slip, and i was running econo box 40000 mile tires. the average temp was 58F

My first run i ran
R/t .749
60' 2.278
330 5.971
1/8 8.878
1000' 11.364
1/4 13.435 at 110.41

My best run was
r/t .792
60' 2.204
330 5.825
1/8 8.703
1000' 11.145
1/4 13.209 at 108.39

I was hoping for a 12.999 but wheel hop killed me. I never launched hard before on the streets, so i never realized what the ---- yall were talkin about till now. Traction bar is on the Christmas list :)

I tried to launch at 15psi once but ended up running a 17.365 at 87 mph. ended up spinning in fifth the whole way down the track.

what are good reaction times, and 60' times i should be shooting for for next season

before spring i plan to get my lsd instaled, traction bar, and a set of drag radials.

Oh i forgot to mention my last run, my rear bumper got riped off via wind??? how i dont know but it did

Practice Practice Practice

Racing at the track takes time and patience with someone who has spent a couple years there.

They give you tips and you just keep raping and pillaging your ride. Took me a couple monthes to get my fat car to a low 14 @ 92 mph ( beating 95% of the turbo civics at mission was pathetic)

i went by my self, so no vids, i have two pics, one of the number on my car and one of my car without a rear bumper, the wind must have caught it in some real bad way cause it tore it right off, ill post them up if i can get them off my phone :S

nice. yeah practice is your best bet. sucks when you break ---- though. my friends first time at the track with a since ex single cam zc was, first run over revved and burned first all the way, second run was under rev and bog. third run was a perfect launch but he snapped two mounts and snapped an axle. dropped the motor on the firewall breaking the tps sensor. so in total, he snapped the ranny case, broke to motor mounts, snapped an axle, and broke a tps sensor. all on stock ass walmart tires.

Good mph and decent 60' times considering the tires and inexperience. a tenth off your 60' is worth at least a tenth off your et.
