anyways i will want to do a manule swap in it since someone said its gonna eat the tranny plust its a 3 speed and the turbos power add wont make a big enough diffrenc in acceleration if its gonna be a 3 spd cuz i have a dx hatch turbod adn the dx gearing suck ass so i would want short gearing on the rolla to make it go fast.. let me know wat you know about the tranny swap and interchanges thanks

C50 and C52 are pretty common and cheap. C56s are less common, and the 6speeds only came with blacktop 4A-GEs. But yeah, eco_lucian has the right idea for transmissions. If it came out of a FWD Corolla with an A engine, it'll fit.

IIRC, nobody really does anything with the 4A-FE ecu. your best bet would probably be megasquirt.

Megasquirt or you can just use a fmu, a couple fish tank check valves and some bigger injectors, thats what im gonna be using until i finish school and i can afford megasquirt or any real fuel management. What kinda times did you run with your hatch turbo4life? How much power ? how did the abs plastic charge pipes hold up?

hell ya just double up the clamps on the ends of the strait pipes so it wont pop off and abs pipes are rated at some high psi depends on the diameter though... i dont remmber but its more thatn engouh for turbo boost levels in a gas engine... more taht engough..! well i m running crome on 450s now.. and 10 psi basem map still cant get my ---- to datalog wiht the nokia dku5 cable that has the signal converter built in. (if anyone can give me some tips...) befdroe on my old 95 ex i ran firs gay fule managment was a 1 injector glued into the charge pipe be fro the TB and a pressure switch to activait it but it was gay have to go light throttle till 3k then stomp it cuz it went too rich but then it leaned out on the toop end but i worked till teh ihi rhb5 took a ----.. it was a junk yard pice welded to a hf manifold. i weld i dont mess with adapter plates.. lol im lazy.. then the next managment was a sds controlling 2 stock injectos in the ppiping it was good cuz my wg spring was only 4 psi or so i bout a used delta gate off ebay and some prick put that small of a spring in there... oh and this turbo was a egay t3 42/48 small one... and a log mani of ebay and fmic.. also eGay... and i used steel pipes and u bend for charge piping.. not abs..

sweet i pickeed up a ex 5 speed tranny today for 150 and i got my ---- to connect to ecu but it wont let me send rom image to ecu the the guy that made the chip for me just burnt it off a chip burner and used a ostrich to make the basemap so im guessing he didnt enable quick dattaaloger+rpt so thats why im guessing it wont let me update the map but i can get rom image from ecu that part work... so lmk if you have any clues on why it wont let me send but i can get rom image from ecu.. tahnks

your car is 100% ghetto inside and out :o , and i mean that in a good way. do you have any more pics of the side exit ? the plastics didnt once melt...? cool, what size piping were you using?

Re: 1994 corolla 1.6l can it go fast?

nope not once thats why you can see in the engine compartment pic i used a steel 2 in bend and a silicon coupler comming off the turbo cuz it get *HOT* there ( i figured out the first day that rubber elbos dont work there!lol!) and just keep the plastic awway from the exhaust and stuff... even thoug the lower intercooler piipe is palstic and it 2 inches awway fromthe dp and no problems ill have pic soon of that.. oh my plastic pipes when you go to home depot they are 2 in abs plastic pipes! the otsied diameter is almost 2.5in on pipes they go by inside diameter..
