know what the highway patrol center (*HP) did??? transferred me to the sherrif's office two counties away from where we are. i had the sherrif transffer me to the nearest HP post, who then transffered me to my home city - which was on the way we were going. i told them where to send somebody to pick the dude up, they had a good 10+ minutes to get someone there which would have taken... 30 seconds for the super walmart dick to get there. noone was there so i gave up. apparantly, it doesn't matter if you drive like an asshat in the state of alabama, aslong as you do it really really fast. :1 BULLSHIT!!!! i got cornholed in springville (about 30 min north of birmingham). i was coming from gadsden, to springville, and had a limited amount of time. i was running around 145-150 the whole way. apparently some people had called the police, as they were sitting on the on ramp where i got off. they turned around, pulled me over and had me out of the car at gunpoint on the ground. i denied everything, and only got a no tag ticket:) but i was tied up for a good hour. meh. done 160+ easy riding in a huge truck 155 in an old vette. lexus use to do 140-155. doesn't appeal to me as much anymore. fun when you're not a teenager anymore. |

on a serious note- I drive no more than 10 over the limit when driving to work and am constantly getting passed by soccer moms/fags in big trucks or whatever that are going 90+ talking on their cell phones and yelling at their kids, yet these are the same people that flip out when you talk about driving fast or racing on the freeway. its annoying because when you get on the freeway you are accepting a certain amount of risk,the risk of getting hit headon by a semi/ rearended by some ricer fag/motorcycle fag/ idiot not using their turnsignals, etc. This is known as a social contract. The tradeoff being that you get where your going in a timely fashion and as long as you pay attention to your surroundings you will never get in an accident( thats why its called an accident and not a crash) most accidents i see everyday are caused by morons not paying attention or not bothering to let other drivers know their intentions, i have never personally seen someone just fly off the ------- road because they were going too fast. also i always see some ------- self rightous bastard that thinks by driving 10mph UNDER the goddamn speed limit that they think their being safe or someshit, whereas is reality in order to go around them you have to floor it and jump over in front of someone else going way faster and hope they don't hit you, not to mention the huge obstruction to the flow of traffic they cause. bottom line is: traveling 65mph in a 3000lb vehicle is not safe, going faster or slower does nothing to change this, however being aware of your surroundings does make you safer. And yes, i hate speed limits, i think that they are an extortion racket used by the state and local government to raise money for bullshit they decide we need. oh and jorsher likes guys >:D :P |
