Does anyone know about this method of tricking the ecu into not reading boost or lowering the voltage? Also is our sensors a 1 bar or 2 bar? I just found out about and curious to try it so fill me in on ur opinions and info. THANX

TurboCivicSiR21, thanks for the article. I have been having problems with my MAP sensor seeing 15PSI of boost. This method of tricking the MAP sensor is much cheaper than buying a missing link for $60+ and neater than using check valves.

The stock MAP sensor on Civics is rated at 1 BAR.

 

No problem man so its 1 bar cus i seen someone said somwhere else it was 1.75. Anyhow are u goin with the 4.3 volt diode as well? im gonna go out and buy one today since i see its only a few bux at radio shack so its worth a try let me know how it goes for u as well.

What you're reffering to has been done many times before...It's just a Map hack...
Trailor park hack, AFC hack stuff...
It's ok, but if you got a SiR I wouldn't do it...you have the cash for an SiR and you're doing a hack?? just sad....it's risky and not reliable

 

I'll be using the 4.3 volts diode. I hope it worlks out well.
